Meet the breeder

I'm Jay K., the breeder behind The Golden Court located in Madison, AL. Our goal is to set the standard for Golden Retrievers by breeding the best-tempered dogs intended for families in search of the perfect service companion. Our litters are unique, having the best of both the English and Golden lines. Gentle by nature, soft coats, happy hearts, and eager to learn with devoted attentiveness.

Q. & A. with Jay

  • Why did you start breeding?

I wanted to continue my service animals temperament, intelligence, and love with others. As well, give the opportunity for others to try their hand at making their own service animal from one of our pups, if they choose to.
  • What makes your program special?

Service animal bloodlines, thorough health and genetic testing, and breeding for calm, family-friendly temperaments. Puppies are raised with early socialization in a clean, home-like setting, and the program emphasizes ethical practices, personalized matching, and lifetime support.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We could not be more pleased with our experience with Jay at The Golden Court! Throughout the entire process Jay was extremely responsive, helpful, and dedicated to finding the best home possible for all of his dogs. Prior to picking our puppy up, Jay made sure to share photos and updates about our puppy’s personality and activities. We could not be more happy with our puppy. He is the sweetest boy and has the best temperament we could imagine due no doubt to his incredible pedigree. We could not love him more. We had a wonderful experience with Jay from The Golden Court. From the very beginning, Jay was responsive, easy to communicate with, and clearly dedicated to the well-being of his dogs. It was evident that he puts a lot of care and focus into his breeding program. Before we even brought our sweet puppy home, Jay had already started some basic training and kept us consistently updated with photos and progress reports. It made the wait so much easier and more exciting! Since bringing our puppy home, Jay has continued to stay in touch and has been an incredible resource whenever we’ve had questions. Our puppy is in excellent health, has a strong pedigree, and a truly sweet, teachable temperament. It’s clear that he came from a thoughtful and loving environment. We highly recommend Jay and his litters to anyone looking for a well-bred, well-raised puppy. You’ll be in great hands!
