I'm Lauren H., the breeder behind The Hallway Farm located in Rio Vista, TX.
Q. & A. with Lauren
Why did you start breeding?
I fell in love with Corgis as a child and I never looked back. I have only had corgi's and want to provide families with the same opportunity.
What makes your program special?
We have a small farm with chickens, horses and corgi's. Our Corgis have two acres to themselves in the front, with the occasional chicken who flies over the fence. They are able to run and play to their hearts content and sleep in the bed with us at night. Our corgis are socialized with the children, chickens, horses, and visiting family dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Beaux and Duchess's litter
Parent dogs
Duchess, mom
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Duchess
Duchess who has been with us since birth has a happy go-lucky-personality. She loves playing with her our three year old and ten year old sons. She is also very gentle with her puppies, showing them how to play.
Beaux, dad
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
About Beaux
Beaux-Tye has the most kind hearted personality I have ever seen, he never meets a dog, human, cat, chicken he doesn't love. He is also very sensitive the slightest stern word and he melts.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
The Hallway Farm reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Pembroke Welsh Corgis.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
