I'm Joanna A., the breeder behind The house of Dachshund located in Calexico, CA. Hi, I’m Joanna! We raise our Dachshunds in our home as part of our family. Our puppies are exposed to everyday household life, people, children, and other dogs to help them grow into confident companions. We care deeply about health, temperament, and finding the right match for each family. We love staying in touch with our puppy families and are always here for support long after our puppies go home.

Joanna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Joanna partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“We are happy to answer questions, provide photos and videos, and help each family choose the puppy that is the best fit for them.”

“All puppies are sold as pet home and don’t include full breeding rights. Each puppy goes home with two sets of vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, and health records. A $500 non-refundable deposit will reserve your chosen puppy. The deposit is applied toward the total purchase price.”
Joanna may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Joanna offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Joanna directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

About Dakota
Dakota has a confident, outgoing personality and a natural leader’s spirit. She’s incredibly intelligent, affectionate, and gets along well with other dogs. Ever since she was a puppy, she has been full of energy and always ready for her next adventure. She’s not the type to spend the whole day lounging on the couch waiting for belly rubs. Dakota is happiest when she’s staying active whether that’s going for long walks, exploring new places, or running around at the park.
