I'm Cyn S., the breeder behind The Puppy Cottage located in Upland, CA. We’re a small, family-based Mini Dachshund program focused on raising happy, well-loved puppies. Our puppies are raised in our home with hands-on care and daily attention from birth. Our goal is to give each puppy a wonderful start before joining their forever family.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My first experience raising a litter was with our Bull Terrier, & I loved being there through every part of it. When Dachshunds came back into my life as an adult, I knew this was a breed I wanted to raise someday. This is our first Dachshund litter, & getting to experience it with a breed I’ve loved since I was 15 has made it even more special.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies are raised right alongside us. They sleep in our room with mama, my kids love on them, & I’m there for the late-night check-ins, feedings & everything in between. I’m very hands-on because these aren’t just puppies to us—they’re little babies we get to love & care for. When you take your puppy home, I want you to know they’ve known love from the very beginning.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Cyn

Cyn has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cyn partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Approved families are placed in selection order based on when their deposit is received. Once coat types & markings are confirmed, families choose their puppy in that order. We’re happy to help guide each family based on what they’re looking for, but the final choice is theirs”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Pricing varies depending on each puppy’s coat type & whether AKC registration is requested. Every puppy will go home with their first set of vaccinations & will be dewormed. . Your deposit holds your place in line. Puppies are chosen in deposit order once coat types & markings are confirmed. Final pricing is based on the puppy selected, including coat & markings.”

Contract & health guarantee

Cyn may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
