I'm Julie W., the breeder behind The Spotted Doxie located in Scroggins, TX. We put our dogs' health and happiness first. All of our dogs and puppies are our family. They are raised in our home and we just adore them. We do everything in our power to ensure that each and every puppy is thoroughly socialized and loved and placed in the perfect home.

Why did you start breeding?
I rescued two females from a terrible situation. After being spayed, their hearts and bodies mended, and so did mine. These girls made me fall in love with the breed. After MUCH research I opened my home and began The Spotted Doxie program in hopes of sharing the love of dachshunds with others.What makes your program special?
I believe we are special because we treat our pack as family pets first and foremost. That is their number 1 job! We also prioritize preserving the breed standard over simply creating the most desired color or pattern. Any baby leaving our house is well socialized, ready for their new adventures, and comes with a genetic health guarantee.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Julie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Included is limited AKC registration (full is available to approved breeders), wellness check, first round of vaccinations done by my vet, bi-weekly deworming, lots of socialization, and a puppy pack. A nonrefundable $300 deposit is required to hold your puppy.”

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Julie at The Spotted Dog. From the very beginning, she kept in constant communication with me about my new fur baby, Bea. She was warm, thoughtful, and made the entire process smooth and comforting. Julie even met me halfway and gently placed my new sweetie into my arms—truly a moment I’ll never forget. She provided everything I needed, including detailed information about Bea’s genealogy. That’s when things became even more special. My late husband, who passed away 18 months ago, was a Cajun chef. His nickname for me was “Bea.” So when I saw this little pup’s name was Beatrice, I knew deep down she was meant to be mine. And then came the chills—two of her great-grandparents were named Little Cajun Man and Boudreaux. As if that wasn’t enough, she was born just a few weeks after my husband passed. Julie was so quick to respond to my questions! I couldn't have asked for someone to be more helpful and accommodating. We've had Rudy as a family member for a week and he is an absolute gem! We were SO lucky to have found Julie! She was wonderful to work with and it is evident how much she loves and cares for her babies. She made the process seemless, drove over an hour out of her way to make pick up easier on us, provided us with a take home bag full of goodies and vet records, made a point to let us know that she is always available to answer any questions, and even checked on us to make sure we made it home safe!
