I'm Barbara T., the breeder behind The Weekend Farm located in New Oxford, PA. I run a small breeding program that allows me to give each of my puppies, dogs, and breedings the proper care and attention they each deserve. I am dedicated to providing happy, healthy, and well-socialized pups for others to welcome into their family. I love my pups and know you will love them, too!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My life revolves around my dogs and meeting their needs both socially and medically. I strive to bring you the healthiest, most well-rounded puppies. I am very proud to be breeding these incredible dogs. It is important to me that I am breeding versatile, socialized, and healthy pups for my buyers to welcome into their homes and hearts.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs and puppies are considered members of my family, and they get the best care I can provide. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience. That includes always having responsible practices for breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Bordoodle line.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Bordoodle puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Bordoodle puppies include gold, white and gold, white and red merle, white and blue merle, white and black, white and red, red, sable, saddleback sable, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Barbara

Barbara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Barbara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes first round of vaccines, deworming, microchipped and health guaranteed vet check before coming home. Each puppy will leave with goodies in their take home bag, such as food! A non refundable deposit is required to secure your puppy. This goes towards the total price of your puppy.”

Barbara may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Full Embark Panel, DNA Profile

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Barbara is not only a great breeder, but a great person too. She’s incredibly responsive and always willing to offer advice. Leading up to his pick up, she sent weekly pictures and milestone updates about my boy, Hermes. Her dogs clearly come from a great environment as they have a calm temperament and seem to have come with some initial potty training, from what I’ve noticed. Because of his calmness, my mom, who isn’t a fan of animals, has been Hermes’ second biggest fan (second to me of course). These puppies are also extremely smart. Hermes learned to “sit” consistently in a matter of 2-3 days. Barbara genuinely cares about her dogs and I would highly recommend buying one of her puppies.

    Barbara was an excellent breeder. She demonstrated a strong knowledge of my Bordoodle and offered thoughtful, practical advice. In particular, she cautioned against using wee-wee pads, explaining that puppies may chew them, which could lead to the plastic becoming lodged in their stomach—a risk I had not considered based on my prior research. I truly appreciated her guidance and expertise. I would confidently recommend Barbara to anyone interested in purchasing a Bordoodle.

    Barbara is and was wonderful. She answered many of my questions as a new dog owner. Her dogs are more like her children so I knew that our dog was treated very well (as opposed to an inhumane puppy mill situation). We got her as a well adjusted and loving puppy.
