I'm Theresa R., the breeder behind Theresa Rhodes located in Alcester, SD. Our adults are family pets, who get a lot of attention! We handle and play with puppies from birth. We expose them to a variety of experiences in their socialization including introducing them to gunshots and fetching in case you want to hunt with them. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Why did you start breeding?
We are a family that enjoys our dogs! Raising puppies is one way to get to experience the puppy stage over and over! We enjoy preparing the puppies to be your new best friend!What makes your program special?
Our adults are family pets! We have done health clearances on the parents to do our best to ensure healthy puppies. Puppies are played with handled continually! The way puppies are treated and socialized the first few months of life definitely affects their personalities and their desire to please and trainability.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $250 deposit and between $1,100 - $1,550 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Health check, heath guarantee, first and second immunizations, regular deworming, and ample socialization! Yellow Males or Females $1300 Fox Red Males or Females $1750 Downpayment comes off the purchase price. If I decide not to send puppy due to illness or other circumstances I will refund 100% of your deposit. If you break the contract or back out deposit is non-refundable.”

Working with Theresa was a wonderful experience. She promptly and thoroughly responded to all of our questions throughout the process. She also shared photos and videos of our little pup with us as we waited for our pick-up date. Upon receiving our puppy, she also provided a gift bag full of supplies and goodies for the dog, as well as all the information we needed to take care of him. We have now had our puppy for a week and it has been a joy filled time. He has such a good temperament. It also is apparent that Theresa had laid a good foundation for potty training. There have been no accidents in his crate and he took to his crate right away. From start to finish, everything has gone so smoothly. We are thankful to Theresa for not only her helpfulness in the process but also her thoroughness in raising a great puppy.

Theresa is a great choice for a breeder! This was a new process for us, since we got our last puppy from a newspaper. So we were a little nervous at first about sending money to anyone this way. But we got over that instantly when we started working with her. We had a short conversation over the phone and got a couple short videos of the puppies and we picked our new family member! She kept us updated every few days or so until we were able to bring Cooper home. She did a great job answering all the questions. We have had Cooper for 2 days now and it is very easy to tell the quality of training and care he got from Theresa and her family. I highly recommend Theresa for a breeder! She is definitely a top of the line breeder in my opinion.
