Meet the breeder

I'm Kristi C., the breeder behind Thicketty Mountain Pomskies located in Greenville, SC. We raise our litters in our home to help set the foundation for happy and confident puppies to transition well into their forever homes. It’s a privilege to have the opportunity to make an impact on each individual puppy! We do tons of socializing and basic training including potty training!

Q. & A. with Kristi

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding has been in my family for generations! My grandmother had the only pet store in town back in the 80s and she bred dogs to sell in her pet store! I learned a lot from her growing up about breeding and the birth of puppies! I chose the Pomsky because they are new and exciting to learn about! I love both the Pomeranian and Siberian Husky! I’ve loved seeing these 2 breeds put together in one!
  • What makes your program special?

Puppies are raised on ENS which has been proven to speed up the immune system, neurological/motor skills and increase confidence! We do this from 3-16days old. After that we begin litter box training, socializing with indoor noises, and bonding with them so that they know humans are safe. At 4/5 weeks we wean them and introduce them to solid foods. Then they’re given a vet exam at 6wks.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Pomsky puppies include toy, mini, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Pomeranian puppies are chocolate merle. Pomsky puppies include wolf sable, tri-color, silver, blue, white, black, black and white, chocolate, merle, and red and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Kristi is amazing and so knowledgeable about her pups. Our little guy, Charlie, is an amazing addition to our family- so loving and great with our kids and other dogs. We were able to meet his parents and see the area where Kristi’s puppies are kept, which was incredibly clean. We had a fantastic experience with Kristi!

We recently got our pup Benji from Kristi and we couldn't be happier! Kristi was a great communicator, and responded quickly in answering all of our questions. We live in NYC and she was nice enough to meet us halfway in Virginia. It's easy to tell that she genuinely cares for all of her pups and is very knowledgeable. Benji is the sweetest little guy and you can tell he was brought up in a very nurturing environment. Would highly recommend Kristi!

Kristi is the best Pomsky breeder out there! She does genetic testing on the parents, is super knowledgeable about the breed, gives a great estimate of the adult weight of the pup you’re purchasing. Kristi also does ENS testing which is unique for a breeder to do, and has help with my dogs as puppies and adults. She truly cares about each and every dog. The dogs have a very cleaning living environment as well. We started out with 1 from her, and now we have 4! We have 2 dogs from Atlas and North’s litter, and 2 from Atlas and London’s litter. They all get along so well! The boys have a lot of personality traits from both parents! All of the dogs we’ve gotten have come with a good majority of their puppy shots, and have excellent health.
