I'm Lanette T., the breeder behind Thomas Valley Yorkies located in Canton, TX. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! Our dogs have enriched our lives in ways we never imagined, and we are so happy to be able to share the wonderful qualities of the breed with others. AKC registered.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We got our first Yorkie in 2019 and fell in love immediately. There’s nothing quite like their unique, endearing and loving personality.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are very hands on with our breeding program. At Thomas Valley Yorkies, we are involved every step of the way. Our whelping area is set up in our front bedroom. Two weeks before the due date, I stay in the whelping room with the dam. Once puppies are born, I stay in the room for two-four weeks to check on the puppies and mama thru the night. At four weeks, they leave the whelping room and are moved to the living room to start their socialization. We start our puppies on Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) two days after their tails are docked through day Sixteen (16). We also practice the Puppy Culture Program to give our "littles" every opportunity for the best start in their new, young lives.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, tan, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lanette

Lanette has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,400 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes paperwork for AKC limited registration (no breeding rights), first and second round of immunizations, deworming and socialization. The non-refundable deposit is applied to the total price."

Lanette may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
