Expected Border Collie litter
Due May 2026
I'm Amber W., the breeder behind Three16 Ranch located in Owenton, KY. The two most important things we can do as a breeder is to raise healthy, well rounded dogs and to find them the best suitable homes. We certainly do not take the tasks lightly. The first step for success starts in the whelping pen. Puppies are raised using Puppy Culture & early neurological stimulation which is the best start for helping a puppy become trainable, healthy, socialized and well rounded. Border collies from Three16 Ranch have gone on to be excellent companions who enjoy an active lifestyle with their families.

Amber has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Amber partners with them to find the best puppy match.
"We do our best at Three16 Ranch to match our puppies with the best possible homes. This process starts with learning as much as we can about new owners, their experience, desired qualities and goals/aspirations with their puppy and pairing it with evaluating each puppy individually. We want every buyer to be up for the challenge and commitment of owning a border collie while also recognizing their individual qualities and personalities and matching them to their homes accordingly. "

"Puppies will be ABCA & AKC registered, vaccinated and examined by a vet. They will go home with a health certificate and a few essentials we like to send them off with. Deposits are non refundable after puppies are 6 weeks old with the exception of incident on our end."
Amber may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Amber offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Amber directly.

Lots of exciting and fun things going on this week for the puppies! As they continue in their 3rd week they are eating 1 meal per day of raw goat milk with some beneficial probiotics added. We will continue to add additional healthy foods for them this week. We’ve started introducing some fun toys, playing a mixture of classical music, firework and thunder sounds, and making loud noises to help their startle-recovery. We are continuing to hold them and they sure love to snuggle and give puppy kisses 🐶 some of them look like they will have blue eyes 🩵 And… the litter box has been introduced and they are already using it some. This is great news and really helps their potty training when they go home! You’re welcome 😉

The puppies had a big day yesterday they went to the vet. Everyone received a clean bill of health and weighed between 7.1 and 8.8lbs. They go home in 2 weeks or less!

Puppies are 5 weeks old! We've started manding training and introduced the crate. They love sleeping in it with the door left open.

Border Collie
About Millie
Millie is my personal shadow and heart dog. Extremely loyal and willing to please. I couldn't say more good things about Millie. She is intelligent, easy to train and while she likes to run amok sometimes with the rest of the pack, she prefers to be by my side wether lazing around in the office, barn chores or a trail ride, she is the perfect side kick and loyal companion. We can't wait to see her puppies become affectionate companions, just like her. Her health testing level is ranked Great by gooddog and we are confident she will produce healthy, happy, well rounded puppies.

About Mable
Mable was a great addition to our family and we've been so pleased with her. She has excelled at 4H Agility with my daughter and is described as being focused, willing and intelligent by her instructor and others. Mable is an excellent mix of a family and farm dog.

About Elvis
Elvis is a sweet boy with a great personality. He is rather chill and laid back but is always up for an adventure. He is small and agile. His stunning looks and friendly nature make him a wonderful addition to our breeding program.
Excellent health testing
Border Collie
About Quinn
Quinn is an outstanding, well rounded girl. She is extremely athletic and would rather complete farm tasks or receive affection than fetch a ball. She is gorgeous in looks and wants to be everyone's best friend (people and other dogs). She is happy being independent on the farm or with her people all day.

Working with Amber at Three16 Ranch was truly an amazing experience from start to finish. She is incredibly knowledgeable, responsible, and clearly loves her dogs deeply. You can tell this is not just breeding for her — she genuinely cares about each puppy and where they go. She took the time to answer all my questions, stayed in touch, and made sure I felt confident and prepared before bringing my puppy home. When we picked him up, it was obvious how attached she is to her puppies — she even got emotional saying goodbye, which says so much about the love and care they receive there. He is healthy, well-socialized, and has such a wonderful temperament. You can really see the quality and dedication behind her program. I 100% recommend Amber to anyone looking for a Border Collie from a breeder who is ethical, attentive, and truly invested in her puppies’ futures. I’m so grateful we found her.

Amber was so easy to work with and very professional. She clearly knows a lot about the breed. Even after we brought our puppy home, she’s been super helpful and friendly. She’s always willing to give advice when you’re struggling with something (potty training in our case), which we really appreciated. Amber is a great person, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new furry companion!

I had a wonderful experience working with Amber. She always responded to me within hours of me asking her questions. She is very knowledgeable about Border Collies and her dogs are gorgeous. The puppy that I got is absolutely adorable. I’ve waited to find a good breeder, that breeds for the love and health of the breed, and that is Amber. I highly recommend anyone that wants a Border Collie puppy to contact her.

I had a wonderful experience with Amber along with continued support. She happily met us at a meeting point to pick up the pups. She was very easy to work with, very comminucative and supporting as Fig has transitioned into our home. She is open and honesty and provided tons of information on any questions I have.

Amber was super responsive and kept in contact through the whole process. She spent a lot of time helping us make sure we got the perfect dog for our home, and she absolutely is! We are so happy with our little Duckie. She’s so well adjusted, intelligent, affectionate and well behaved. We could not be happier with Amber and our little pup!
