I'm Staci M., the breeder behind Tiny Tzu Mighty Shih Tzus & Mi-Kis located in Powell, WY. When I was introduced to the Shih Tzu breed, I knew I had found my forever loves! Little did I know, the Mi-Ki breed would soon follow. Two similar but very different breeds both hold my heart in their paws! Breeding for quality is my first priority. My goal is to improve the breed by pairing Shih Tzus that are high in conformation of the breed standard, health, and temperament and to pair Mi-Ki's by their breed standard in the highest conformation and temperament.
Q. & A. with Staci
Why did you start breeding?
Dogs of all breeds have adorned my life since I was just a child. At one time, I raised and bred Cocker Spaniels. They are also a wonderful breed. I have had experience with Labradors, Yorkshire Terriers, Papillions, Basset Hounds, Chows, Doberman Pincers, Rottweilers, and Shelties over the years. When I was introduced to the Shih Tzu breed, I knew I had found my forever loves!
What makes your program special?
All of my dogs and puppies are raised in my home as part of my family. They are each well socialized from birth by interacting with me and my grandkids. They have a large, safe area in the yard where they get to run and explore. Some love to play in the pool while others prefer to sunbathe and work on their tans. When in the house, they are free to run the recreation room. In the evenings they sleep in their puppy playpens or take turns sleeping with me. By the time they go to their new homes, they are already socialized, spoiled, and ready for their new owners.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
