I'm Kelley J., the breeder behind Tk’s Kennels located in Elizabeth City, NC. I breed for health, strong bones, and temperaments.
I myself grew up showing dogs and understand the value of raising a good pup and socialization. I strive to do my best to place the pups in a safe and knowledgeable home. It’s not just income you provide my family you too become our family.
Q. & A. with Kelley
Why did you start breeding?
Growing up I showed as a JR handler for AKC, also helping my dad raise and show chow chows. The Breeding “bug” struck me when I was just 8 years old and in 2020 my dreams finally came true and I began my program.
What makes your program special?
My love for the animals is poured into them and the family’s who adopt. I feel like so often people get wrapped up in “making money” but yet forget how important it is to place a puppy in the right homes. So I offer a responsible program that which I feel I make sure the owners are prepared for their new baby’s.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
