Meet the breeder

I'm JodiAnn S., the breeder behind TLJ Choco Yorkie Love located in Jacksonville, FL. Hi there! I’m Jodi-Ann, the heart behind a boutique breeding program based in sunny Florida, where I specialize in Yorkshire Terriers. My journey into breeding began with a deep love for animals and a desire to share the joy, companionship, and unconditional love these amazing breeds bring into people’s lives. What started as a personal passion quickly grew into a calling. I took the time to learn, research, and align myself with ethical breeding standards so I could do it the right way — with care, purpose, and integrity. Every litter is planned with the goal of improving the breed while ensuring each puppy is healthy, happy, and well-adjusted. My puppies are raised right in my home as part of the family. They are nurtured from day one with lots of love, early socialization, and exposure to everyday sights and sounds to help them transition smoothly into their forever homes. I emphasize health, temperament, and proper structure — and I work closely with my vet to ensure all puppies are up-to-date on health checks and vaccinations. I believe in transparency, support, and building lasting relationships with each of my puppy families. Whether you're looking for a playful companion, a snuggly lap dog, or a loyal friend, I’m here to help guide you through the journey of finding the perfect match. Thank you for considering one of my pups — they truly are raised with love and intention from the very beginning.

Q. & A. with JodiAnn

  • Why did you start breeding?

My journey into breeding started with a genuine love for dogs and a desire to be part of something meaningful. I’ve always had a special place in my heart for Yorkies — their personalities, loyalty, and charm won me over completely. Over time, I realized I wanted to do more than just be a dog owner — I wanted to help bring healthy, happy puppies into the world and connect them with loving homes. I took my time learning from experienced breeders, researching best practices, and making sure I understood everything that goes into ethical, responsible breeding. It wasn’t a quick decision — it was a calling that grew stronger with time. Now, it brings me so much joy to raise puppies that are not only adorable but also well-socialized and ready to thrive in their forever homes.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my breeding program special is the level of care, intention, and personal touch I put into every part of the process. I’m a small-scale breeder, which means I’m hands-on with every litter — from birth to go-home day. My puppies are raised in my home, surrounded by love, socialization, and real-life experiences that help shape them into confident, well-adjusted companions. Health and temperament are my top priorities. I work closely with my vet to ensure each puppy is healthy, and I’m selective about my breeding pairs to support strong genetics and happy personalities. I also take the time to get to know each of my families to help place puppies in the right homes — because I care about lifelong matches, not just short-term sales. My background in healthcare gives me a strong foundation in structure, cleanliness, and attention to detail. But what truly makes this special is the love and pride I have in raising these pups — they’re family from day one, and I treat them like it.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white and chocolate and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
