I'm Kristine Y., the breeder behind Tobyan Labradors located in Howell, NJ. We only breed litters when we are looking to add puppies to our breeding and show program. We strive to produce well-rounded, balanced Labrador Retrievers that make exceptional family companions but also have the ability to succeed in a variety of competitive and sporting events.
Q. & A. with Kristine
Why did you start breeding?
Zoey is our first breeding female. Her temperament, drive, structure and soundness make her a wonderful all around Labrador. We wanted to perpetuate the wonderful things about her and started our breeding program. We have several of her daughters from different litters and are looking forward to future generations who have inherited Zoey’s qualities.
What makes your program special?
We believe that health and temperament are as important as breeding to the standard. Our early enrichment protocols help to prepare the puppies for their new lives. We are committed to our puppies and our puppy buyers and make ourselves available after purchase to help ensure a successful and fulfilling relationship.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
