Meet the breeder

I'm Christine B., the breeder behind Top Notch Cocker Spaniels located in Gate City, VA. We enjoy showing our dogs and occasionally offer puppies from our high-quality dogs. We are proud of our dogs and pups. We are dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our pups. We love what we do and truly want nothing more than to see each and every one of our puppies shine!

Q. & A. with Christine

  • Why did you start breeding?

I first got into showing and totally fell in love with it and wanted to continue that. I studied very hard. Found some great mentors and soaked up all the information they could give me while I set on my adventure of breeding. I am so glad I decided to. Not only do I have other dogs out there that own little pieces of my heart, I also found new people to add to my ever growing “family” that I love
  • What makes your program special?

We put our hearts and souls into these babies. Our kids spend tons of time with them playing and loving on every puppy. We raise and keep our dogs in our home and treat them as a part of our family. We take them camping / to the lake / to get pup cups at Starbucks 😂 they are a part of us. We also show our dogs as a family and have fun while doing so.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the very first message, Christine was incredibly responsive, patient, and kind, always happy to answer my many questions and make sure I felt confident every step of the way. And then there’s Sia, my beautiful puppy, who has the sweetest temperament and the most loving, gentle nature. She’s confident, affectionate, and full of personality, a true testament to the care and dedication that Christine puts into her breeding and early socialization. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with Christine and her family. You can tell she genuinely loves her dogs and wants the very best for every puppy and family she works with. I’m so grateful for the wonderful start Sia had and for the kindness Christine showed throughout the whole process. Highly, highly recommend! 💕🐾
