Q. & A. with Totty
Why did you start breeding?
Becoming a Breeder was unintentional for me. My first Yorkie, a rescue, had passed and I was looking for that next pup to share joy in my life. I found a small in-home breeder near me & promptly landed on the wait list. I did bring home my pup, but I also spent the next several years being mentored & learning about breeding before I ever ventured out on my own. Learning what to do & what to avoid.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs health & care are the top priority for us. We research pedigrees, genetic test, OFA test, maintain routine vet care and health test before each breeding. Our pups live in our home, no crates or cages & have room to run free outside, but well protected. Well socialized to sounds & situations that they might encounter. We begin the foundations of potty training, grooming & obedience.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue and gold, black and tan, and black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We were looking for a Yorkie to adopt at a rescue but we couldn't find one after a 2 month search. We widened our search to local breeders and the 1st one we came across was Totty's Tiny Paws. What a blessing that was! We immediately fell in love with Kaylee but after contacting Totty we found out she was already spoken for. As fate would have it, she had another female Yorkie that was almost 6 months old. One picture was all it took and we were in love with "Harley"..Now Isabelle. Totty was amazing throughout the entire process. She responded to my questions immediately and even set up a Zoom call so she could meet us and we could see Isabelle. I was so impressed that she was just as concerned with who Izzy was going to as we were about choosing a legit breeder. We met at a neutral site when we picked up Izzy and spent an hour with Totty going over her adoption packet. She provided so much information about Yorkies and gave us everything we needed in order to have an easy transition. We have remained in contact the last week giving her updates on Izzy's transition, which has gone very smooth. It was obvious from day 1 that Totty loves her Yorkies, and her tears when we were saying ours goodbyes told me everything I needed to know about her. Thank you Totty for trusting us with Izzy! She has already added so much love to our family!
