I'm Melanie H., the breeder behind Toy House Frenchies located in Salem, OR. We are home-based breeders dedicated to bringing healthy, loving, and high-quality puppies into the homes and hearts of their forever families. We love our dogs and are passionate about raising our puppies to be the best family companions.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We fell in love with frenchies 12 years ago and just like potatoe chips, you just can’t stop at one.

  • What makes your program special?

    I try and breed for color and Fluffy’s with the best quality and health that I can. I want to produce puppies that will bring happiness to families for as many years as I can. I do extensive genetic health testing and OFA X-ray testing and try and stay true to the standard structure as possible.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, tricolors, blue fawn, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Melanie

Melanie has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melanie partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $5,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

"The price includes a one year genetic health guarantee, AKC registration. Lifetime breeder support. Deposit holds your puppy until pickup/ delivery. This money goes towards the full purchase price of the puppy. We know life happens and if a deposit is made and you are unable to finish purchasing the puppy then we transfer it to a future litter."

Melanie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
