I'm Abigail G., the breeder behind Trailside Mini Aussies located in Harrisonville, MO. Our AKC/ASDR-registered, health-tested dogs live as family, never in kennels. As a genetics and behavior nerd with a degree in Animal Science, I raise puppies with Puppy Culture for confidence and adaptability. Each goes home vet-checked, microchipped, and backed by lifetime support.

Why did you start breeding?
Dog breeding has been in my family for generations, so I always knew it was something I’d do one day. My work in shelters, vet care, and training showed me how important responsible breeding and early socialization are. Trailside Mini Aussies was founded to combine family tradition with a modern, ethical, science-based approach.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are family first — they live in our home, spend days in large, enriched yards, and sleep inside at night. Puppies are raised with Puppy Culture for confidence and adaptability. We provide health-tested parents, vet care, microchips, a full puppy guide, lifelong support, and a no-questions-asked return policy.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include tiny and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Abigail

Abigail has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

She is fully health tested and full-panel clear, making her a strong and responsible addition to our breeding program and a wonderful representation of the kind of dogs we strive to produce. What truly sets Luna apart is her temperament. She is a big, floppy, goofy lap dog at heart — always ready to melt into your arms, snuggle close, or follow you from room to room. She loves to play, adores being with her people, and has an easygoing, go-with-the-flow personality that lets her fit seamlessly into whatever everyone else is doing, whether that’s lounging on the couch or heading outside for fun. Luna also brings a youthful, bubbly spirit that perfectly balances her calm sweetness. She enjoys exploring the world and engaging with her family without being overwhelming or chaotic. Millie is non-reactive and patient, bringing a calm steadiness to every situation, while her smarts mean she’s quick to figure things out and adapt. She’s the kind of dog who’s curious enough to explore on her own, but thoughtful enough to circle back and check in. Athletic and agile outdoors, Millie can keep up with any adventure, yet she also settles beautifully in the house. Affectionate without being pushy, she has just the right balance of sweetness and respect for your space. Adaptable and easygoing, Millie gets along with everyone she meets—dogs, people, and animals alike. She is AKC registered, considered mini in size, and comes from a show line focused on both conformation and personality. Millie brings together the best of brains, beauty, and heart, and we are thrilled to have her as part of our foundation program.

About Chief
Chief is the definition of an easy-going companion. He’s the kind of dog you can bring to the farm for the weekend with hardly any training, and you can still trust him to stay close, be respectful, and fit right in. Affectionate and sweet, Chief loves nothing more than being around people—he’s always following close behind you, making sure he doesn’t miss a moment with his family. One of his favorite pastimes is water play—whether it’s a swimming pool, stock tank, or muddy puddle, Chief will happily leap in multiple times a day. With a medium drive, he’s active and athletic, enjoying long runs along the fenceline with the horses, but he has the steadiness to ignore opportunities to chase or nip at the horses, goats, or kittens he lives alongside.
