I'm Candace A., the breeder behind Travler Collies located in Canastota, NY. I produce pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be working, showing, or as an active companion. I have been involved with the breed for 50 years and am very active in the show world. My goal is to produce a great representation of the Collie and to continue improving the line with each generation.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    My love for Collies inspired me to share this breed with the world in a responsible way. I devote my time, energy, and attention to each litter to ensure puppies get the best start in life. I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies and continue my show line, but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Collies will continue to thrive for generations to come.
  • What makes your program special?

    I am a proud breeder of Collies and I find so much joy and fulfillment in sharing my love of them with the world. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies. With 50 years of experience, I can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to bring home one of these wonderful dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue merle white and tan, sable, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA), Generalized, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Dermatomyositis, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
