I'm Tricia K., the breeder behind Tricia's Sheltie Puppies located in Pine Island, MN. All of our dogs are loved as family members. We cherish our puppies from birth up until they leave our arms to snuggle into yours! Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a Sheltie. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. It is a privilege to be able to share that love and friendship with others through responsible breeding.
Q. & A. with Tricia
Why did you start breeding?
I was fortunate enough to grow up on a farm and we always had Shelties. They were our family pets and used for herding (they loved it). My family raised many litters of shelties. I spent so much time with them and fell in love with the breed. They are so intelligent, loyal, and beautiful! Several years ago, my husband and I decided we’d like to raise a litter from our dogs if they were genetically clear since they had wonderful Sheltie traits and personalities. Fortunately, we’ve had 3 litters and their personalities and beautiful features shine through in their pups. We’ve had wonderful feed back from our previously placed puppy families. We enjoy raising these babies in our home to give them the best start for when they go to their forever homes. They are handled, cuddled, and played with daily. They will receive a vet exam, worming, and first vaccines before they go to their forever homes.
What makes your program special?
Our Shelties are part of our family. We have 3 Shelties; mom, dad, and their son from their first litter. Of course, they are house dogs and tend to be spoiled! We enjoy raising the puppies in our home and love them like crazy! We spend a lot of time with all the pups daily until they move to their forever homes. Parents are clear by parentage and genetic testing for the four common genetic diseases that affect the Sheltie breed. They will have their vet exams, be wormed and have their first vaccination before they go to their new homes.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and sable and sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Tricia was a pleasure to work with. She was outstanding from the start, sharing photos and her home, which allowed my daughter and me to visit Merida and discuss her caring and wonderful process to ensure we received such a sweet puppy. We are so glad that we found each other. Merida is a fantastic addition to our family.
