Meet the breeder

I'm Rebecca L., the breeder behind Tried and True Aussies located in Cotati, CA. We work hard to produce healthy, well-rounded Australian Shepherd puppies that will make others as happy as our dogs have made us! We strive to produce Australian Shepherds that are true to the breed standard with a focus on health and training. We socialize our puppies to prepare them for life ahead.

Q. & A. with Rebecca

  • Why did you start breeding?

We always loved Australian Shepherds and when we moved to our small ranch and got our first Aussie, 17 years ago, we fell in love. After meeting with other breeders and learning about the breed, we decided to give a litter a try. It was such a great experience and bringing the joy of this breed to others was one of the main reasons we continued breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are a big part of our life. We also offer extra training services, photography options and grooming.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
