I'm Rebecca D., the breeder behind Tucson Dachshund Co. located in Tucson, AZ. Our shaded cream miniature dachshunds are raised in our family home with daily love and care. We focus on health, temperament, and structure, and each puppy comes with one year of professional training support to help them thrive as confident, well-mannered family companions.
Q. & A. with Rebecca
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve loved and worked with dogs all my life, but dachshunds absolutely stole my heart with their bold, quirky personalities and endless charm. Their loyalty, intelligence, and hilarious antics inspired me to start a breeding program focused on preserving everything that makes this breed so special.
What makes your program special?
As someone who used to work in the vet field and is now a certified dog trainer, I understand what it takes to raise a healthy, confident puppy. My puppies are family-raised with early training exposure, thoughtful socialization, and structure to help them become well-rounded companions!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, black and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We recently welcomed Mabel (formerly Hufflepuff) into our family, and she has been a wonderful addition. My daughter and our family absolutely adore her. Mabel is a fun, energetic puppy who loves to play, but what we appreciate most is how much she enjoys spending time with my daughter and cuddling. She has quickly become an important part of our lives, and we look forward to many happy years with her. We highly recommend both the breeder and Good Dog for making this experience so positive.
