Meet the breeder

I'm Jordan M., the breeder behind Tumbleweed Dachshunds located in Pickton, TX. Here at Tumbleweed Dachshunds, we strive to breed dachshunds with confidence, intelligence, and drive. Our puppies are raised with ENS and ESI and exposed to a variety of sounds, smells, and textures. We aim to raise puppies suited for pet homes as well as sporting and conformation homes.

Q. & A. with Jordan

  • Why did you start breeding?

For me, breeding actually started with dairy goats! I started raising dairy goats as a young teenager, and from there branched out into breeding Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherds. When I got out of raising goats, I knew I didn't want to give up breeding, and started looking into Dachshunds. I have learned so much from trainers and fellow breeders, and have had many people help along the way.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs are raised and loved as members of our family. Their emotional needs are just as important to me as the physical needs of each dog, and I strive to provide an rich environment for healthy happy dogs. Our puppies are raised with the family and other pack members and it's all hands on deck! Our dogs and puppies are loved deeply and raised with the very best we can offer.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red, brindle, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Jordan was amazing she brought sweet eclipse to me and had everything ready for us. She was washed and even had a little goodie bag for her. She comes with the first shots and a microchip which is amazing!

From the moment I started messaging with jordan she was so kind and helpful with all the information I needed about ash and his health and his parents. Never met someone who is doing this for all the right reasons. She is IT. Made me feel so comfortable and answered every single question (even tho there was probably a million). I’ve never been happier with my puppy and she has done everything possible to make sure these puppies are healthy, responsive, trained and ready for the outside world with new families. I didn’t have to worry about a THING when picking him up besides bringing payment. She’s provided me with every little thing I needed for him and MORE. Would only recommend her to anyone wanting a dachshund.

Jordan has been such great help to my wife and I when it came to finding our perfect puppy. She was so quick to respond and was very informative, it’s obvious she really cares about her puppies. She made it very comfortable for us to pick up Nova, we would definitely look into buying another puppy from her in the future.
