I'm Lisa T., the breeder behind Turvey Australian Shepherds located in Ponca City, OK. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed is simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppys families will have the best experience raising their new family members. Many of our dogs have been titled in Tricks, Obedience and Rally. We also have several that have been trained for service and/or therapy!

Why did you start breeding?
About 18 years ago I happened to see a woman selling Australian Shepherd puppies and decided to bring home a beautiful little red merle boy we named Rowdy. He was the most intelligent, obedient, protective dog I've ever known. He turned heads and amazed people everywhere he went. Rowdy was truly an "old soul" and 1 in a million kind of dog. We lost him on Sept 12, 2014 and I miss him today just as much as I did the day we lost him. He was and will always be my ❤️ dog. Hopefully, our puppies can bring their families the love Rowdy brought to us.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red & white, black & white, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lisa

Price
“Prices vary depending on many factors such as male/female, bloodlines, breeding or pet (requires spay/neuter), and over all quality. We always strive for a healthy, happy, well adjusted puppy regardless of which parents it is out of or the price of the pup! Deposits are either $500 or half of the purchase price, whichever is less. We then require the rest of the payment in full when you pick up your puppy.”

Dozer is a stunning blue eyed black bi male that was bred tight here at Turvey Aussies! His dam, Pixie, a blue eyed red tri, was also bred by us. These bloodlines have produced multiple dog who have achieved titles in Tricks, Obedience and Rally. Many have also been trained as service and/or Therapy dogs!

Cora is a female Australian Shepherd. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Lisa decided to make her part of their program. Lisa has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
