I'm Tara G., the breeder behind Tweenie Weenie Dachshunds located in Trenton, FL. We offer quality Dachshunds with a focus on health and temperament. We will help you find your new best friend. At Tweenie Weenies, we focus on improving the breed. We work with UC Davis and Embark to further genetic research that can assist in preventing IVDD in dachshunds. We continue our education to ensure we provide the most appropriate lifestyle and care so our dogs live long, happy & healthy lives.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I fell in love in dachshunds about 6 years ago. Once you have one, you want more. My love for this breed and their amazing personality lead me to wanting to raise these amazing family members for others. I strive to produce beautiful, healthy, well adjusted puppies you can love for many years.

  • What makes your program special?

    We work with leaders in genetic testing to improve breeding standards, health of the dogs, and long term care.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include wirehaired and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Tara

Tara has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Tara partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $300 deposit and between $1,200 - $2,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price for dachshunds includes all necessary worming, vaccinations, and health certificate. Puppies will come with a gift bag and all necessary paperwork. Deposits are refundable ONLY if something (illness, injury, death) happens to the puppy prior to going to its new home.”

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation
