I'm Megan H., the breeder behind Twin Oak's Chesapeakes LLC located in Columbus Grove, OH. Our Chessies are bred for personality, temperament, and health. We believe a good family dog with great temperament is the building grounds for the dog to do great things! I believe all dogs deserve a loving, caring family life, so all breeding is done out of my home. We have no kennels involved.
Q. & A. with Megan
Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved animals and even went to school for veterinary technology. When we first got into Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, we came across a couple of Chessies that weren't quite suited for our family lifestyle. But we love the breed. When we came across our first female with a heart of gold, I knew I had to keep that trait going in the Chesapeake Breed!
What makes your program special?
Our breeding is done right out of our home. Our dogs are paired accordingly with personality and health in mind.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
