I'm Bradley S., the breeder behind Two River Wirehaired Dachshunds located in Fair Grove, MO. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.
Q. & A. with Bradley
Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding for the love of the breed. We bought our first Wirehaired Dachshund for deer recovery, and fell in love with her. Eventually we imported European Wirehaired Dachshunds/Teckels with hunting genetics, that are also loving family dogs and companions.
We selectively breed 2 or 3 litters per year.
What makes your program special?
All of our dogs are American Blood Tracker and United Blood Tracker Certified. Each dog is DNA tested by Embark Vet and are free from alleles that carry genetic abnormalities, and each dog is a beloved family member, free to come and go from our house into a one acre fenced yard.
The dogs are rotated from our house to their climate controlled kennel every few days, so that they exercise. The kennel runs are 115 feet long for them to run up and down, and there is one dog per kennel run.
The dogs are DNA tested, chipped, AKC Registered and Veterinarian approved/inspected. Or Veterinarian is involved in maintaining health and monitoring all aspects of breeding each dog.
Dogs that are retired are not for sale. All puppy buyers require an interview.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have wirehaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are wild boar. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
