I'm Jennifer W., the breeder behind U Need A Doodle located in Ellijay, GA. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. Matching each family with the right puppy is the key to our success and yours. We are honored to bring another member of the family into your life!
Q. & A. with Jennifer
Why did you start breeding?
We found our first doodle in Tennessee as there weren't breeders in Georgia at that time (2004). Zoe was absolutely everything we were looking for. We received breeding rights and also our future stud, Moose, from a responsible breeder. Moose grew to be 103lbs and Zoe was 85lbs. Both became therapy dogs with Happy Tails by the time they were 1 1/2 yrs old. It was a match made Heaven ❤️.
What makes your program special?
Our first boy Moose was an English Cream Doodle as was our second stud Ned. That English Cream line contributes to our puppies having a more calm demeanor. All of our dogs are our pets - they are never rehomed once they are retired. Our daughter has two girls from our line that has contributed to our ability to now have 6th generation multigenerational pups!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

We highly recommend U Need A Doodle. Our family was incredibly lucky to find Jennifer—an exceptional breeder who went above and beyond from the very start.
Jennifer made the whole process of finding, Hudson (a.k.a. Roland) a spectacular experience. From the moment he was born, she shared frequent photos and video updates which gave us such joy, happiness, and laughter. It allowed us to be part of the journey before we even met him. She spent the time needed helping us pick out the right puppy, thoughtfully considering personality, size, gender, and coat color to ensure the perfect fit for our home and exiting “pack”. This experience was so great, that my sister ended up picking out a puppy as well…Lucy (a.k.a. Stevie).
Hudson and Lucy came from a loving environment, with constant interaction from adults, children, and other dogs. That early socialization made their transition into our homes and “pack” incredibly smooth—they arrived happy, confident, and full of love. Hudson and Lucy have been a great addition to our family and “pack”. They are full of life, doodle goofiness, and are having lots of sleepovers. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Jennifer didn’t just raise puppies—she raised family members.

It has been such an incredible journey, watching my Teddy and his brothers and sisters grow week over week, participating in their first bath, and even rubbing mama’s belly before they came into this world.
In all of my time, I have never met a breeder as devoted, ethical, and knowledgeable as Jennifer. I did A LOT of research before selecting my to-be baby’s breeder. I interviewed several breeders as well and Jennifer was above and beyond all of them. She prioritizes bringing **family** doodles into this world; she raises them in her own home, in a clean environment, and uses the most up to date practices for creating the healthiest dogs with the best temperament.
I could not be happier with my experience with Jennifer. I wish all breeders loved their babies as she does. She raised the bar on even my high expectations of what a breeder should do for her/his line of pups. I am so thankful for her and my Teddy everyday.

Jennifer and U Need A Doodle are our second family. This is our 3rd family member from them and we couldn’t be happier that we were able to go through them again. Jennifer’s love and expertise are unlike any other. She is kind, keeps you updated, and truly cares who her puppies are going home with. I would recommend her to anyone that is looking to add a new member to their family as we have been part of her doodle family coming up on 9 years.

Some people are just Godsent to guide you through your journey to happiness, Jennifer to us is one such person!
We always dreamt of getting a puppy/ dog for ourselves! Time was never right, until we decided we will make it right:) And after much research we chose Jennifer and her wonderful family to help us out!
We chose Toffee( then Twyla) to join our family!
We were anticipating a lot of naughtiness, jumping on friends that visited, bolting out the door, never wanting to get back home after walks etc etc..., that's what we had seen most of the other pups we knew do.
Toffee was quite the opposite. She was calm, very vary of strangers, did not want to bolt out the door each time we opened it, would even just quickly finish her business outdoors and return back in- off leash at that!
The temperament of this beautiful dog fits our family so well and it guarantees how Jennifer was right about this beautiful fitment for us!
Jennifer guided us and still guides us through this process and handholds relentlessly as we seek help to ensure this beautiful pup flourishes and blossoms to her best!!!
We look forward to beautiful adventures with Toffee and are grateful for all the love that has been showered on us by this bundle of joy!
Thank you "U need a doodle" and team for your kindness, dedication and support!!

Great experience. We were chosen to take Joy at 16 weeks after a series of unfortunate events. She was a bundle of love and energy. She showed so much love to the breeders that we knew we were in for a lot of excitement. It was a wonderful experience and we adore her more every day. Empty nesters that just needed a lot of Joy in our lives. Thanks you so much for honoring us with our Joy.

Jennifer was wonderful to work with. Her knowledge of the breed and the over all process really put us at ease.
She told us step by step how it was going to go, and that’s how it went. We got to see pictures and updates for the whole litter.
Her tips for care from feeding to grooming have been so helpful. We love our Molly girl!
