I'm Lea S., the breeder behind UGG Ranch located in Thomaston, GA. Anyone can say they value socialization, temperament, and wellness. We believe the proof is in the puppy. Our breeding program begins with prioritizing health, structure, coat, and expression - selecting dogs whose beauty is evident and whose presence and temperament are remarkable. This provides the foundation for giving each puppy the best possible start as an exceptional companion for your family. Our puppies are raised in our home with hands on nurturing, daily socialization, and consistent routines that support both physical development and emotional balance. We invest deeply in early interaction and real life exposure because confidence doesn’t happen by accident. Resilience begins in the first days of life. Bright, curious eyes. Relaxed posture. Healthy puppy “padding.” Natural playfulness and energy. These qualities reveal themselves early when puppies are raised with intention and care, and we hope they shine through in the photos and videos we share. This is our recipe for producing dogs that reflect refinement in both form and temperament - emotionally secure, family ready companions prepared for a joyful transition into their new homes.

Tex and Ripley are expecting puppies December 12 time frame. Here are some photo progressions of their prior litter.

Dachshund
About Tex
Tex - affectionately nicknamed Mosey - is the definition of laid back. He’s the strong, quiet type who loves to “boop” his way into snuggles and gaze up at us with adoring, soulful eyes. Gentle and sweet, he often sits with a contented sigh as if he’s soaking in every moment. Despite his calm nature, Tex shows his playful side with joyful bunny hops, teasing games, and elegant movement that makes him a joy to watch. He’s a wonderful father, endlessly patient and kind. With his flowing feathered coat and wagging tail, he greets new encounters warmly and even delights in water play... proving he’s not made of sugar after all!

About Maddie
Maddie is our quiet, gentle soul. She carries herself with a calm, reserved presence, watchful and wise, like an old soul in a tiny princess body. She loves nothing more than to curl up in a lap, radiating sweetness and loyalty, though she’ll surprise you with little bursts of spunk that make everyone smile. She gives the feeling that she is there to comfort you, not to be comforted. As a mother, she is unmatched: attentive, nurturing, and exceptional both in birthing and raising her puppies. Obedient and easy to live with, Maddie has a heart of gold, and it never fails... every visitor who meets her falls completely in love. Casual stack photo added for proportion and balance reference. These are not formal show stacks, we are learning and improving with each session!

About Ripley
Ripley is elegance embodied - demure yet a little flirtatious, with arresting eyes and a stunning chocolate based shaded cream coat that turns heads wherever she goes. She is delightfully playful with little happy paw dances performed in exchange for a belly rub finale. She is truly a princess and a constant companion, always by our side and ready to melt hearts with her radiant energy and joyful disposition.

About Rita
Rita is full of spice and everything nice! Her verve and curiosity make her eager for every adventure. Intelligent and easy to train, she meets the world with confidence, reserved but fearless. Her sparkling personality shines so brightly that even when she gets into a little mischief, you can’t help but laugh. Assured and solid, Rita carries herself with a comforting presence that makes her an anchor in our home. Rita is a very solid girl, weighing in at almost 14 pounds. Casual stack photo added for proportion and balance reference. These are not formal show stacks, we are learning and improving with each session!

About Cora
Cora charms everyone with her funny little trot, as if she’s always on her way to a bit of mischief. She’s pure sweetness... gentle, undemanding, and content to simply be near. Though reserved and not the most outgoing, she blossoms in affection, quick to please and happiest when she’s being held, hugged, and told how pretty she is. As a mother, she’s wonderfully attentive and has blessed us with gorgeous, well tempered puppies.

Lea was super responsive and answered are questions within minutes, even from our initial contact on New Year's Eve around 10 pm! Lea is incredibly knowledgable about miniature longhaired dachshund and an advocate for the breed. Lea is informed and intentional about how her breeding dogs and their puppies are cared for. She truly aspires for the UGG Ranch pups to go to homes with humans who are knowledgable about the unique needs of the breed. Moreover, Lea has gone above and beyond to share information with us, from nutritional needs to grooming, etc. Our puppy, Tulip, is a joy and so precious! We have had her for 4 weeks and she has been a delight each day. You can tell Tulip comes from a strong lineage due her just being a quick learner and having such a sweet temperment. I am thankful that we found Lea on Good Dog and can't speak highly enough about her dedication to raising healthy and beautiful pups!
