Meet the breeder

I'm Lea S., the breeder behind UGG Ranch located in Thomaston, GA. Anyone can say they value socialization, temperament, and wellness. We believe the proof is in the puppy. Our breeding program begins with prioritizing health, structure, coat, and expression - selecting dogs whose beauty is evident and whose presence and temperament are remarkable. This provides the foundation for giving each puppy the best possible start as an exceptional companion for your family. Our puppies are raised in our home with hands on nurturing, daily socialization, and consistent routines that support both physical development and emotional balance. We invest deeply in early interaction and real life exposure because confidence doesn’t happen by accident. Resilience begins in the first days of life. Bright, curious eyes. Relaxed posture. Healthy puppy “padding.” Natural playfulness and energy. These qualities reveal themselves early when puppies are raised with intention and care, and we hope they shine through in the photos and videos we share. This is our recipe for producing dogs that reflect refinement in both form and temperament - emotionally secure, family ready companions prepared for a joyful transition into their new homes.

Lea was super responsive and answered are questions within minutes, even from our initial contact on New Year's Eve around 10 pm! Lea is incredibly knowledgable about miniature longhaired dachshund and an advocate for the breed. Lea is informed and intentional about how her breeding dogs and their puppies are cared for. She truly aspires for the UGG Ranch pups to go to homes with humans who are knowledgable about the unique needs of the breed. Moreover, Lea has gone above and beyond to share information with us, from nutritional needs to grooming, etc. Our puppy, Tulip, is a joy and so precious! We have had her for 4 weeks and she has been a delight each day. You can tell Tulip comes from a strong lineage due her just being a quick learner and having such a sweet temperment. I am thankful that we found Lea on Good Dog and can't speak highly enough about her dedication to raising healthy and beautiful pups!
