Chelsey K.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Chelsey K., the breeder behind U.P. Labradors located in Moran, MI. We always strive to improve the breed and to keep up with health testing to ensure that our dogs and puppies are healthy. Our dogs live in our home and are loved members of our family.

Q. & A. with Chelsey

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband and I got our first lab Nelli 4 years ago and fell in love with the breed. When she matured and we saw more of her personality and how good she was with our kids, we wanted to provide other families with a puppy like her, such a calm and patient temperament.
  • What makes your program special?

We feel that health is just as important as temperament so we make sure any and all dogs that we use for breeding are health tested and clear of any diseases that the breed is common to have. We also feel that temperament is important so we only pair females with males that have the same traits producing puppies perfect for families.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
