Meet the breeder

I'm Emily N., the breeder behind Upstate Aussie Mountain Doodles located in Travelers Rest, SC. We are a family owned breeding business based in the Upstate of SC. We specialize in raising happy, healthy, and hypoallergenic Australian Mountain Doodles - the perfect blend of the loyal Bernese Mountain Dog, the athletic Australian Shepherd, and the intelligent and low-shedding Poodle. Our puppies are lovingly raised in a family environment with small children and other animals. We’re committed to producing adaptable, friendly, trainable dogs that will come home to you with the skills needed to thrive wherever life takes them. Whether you're looking for a loyal companion, a family-friendly puppy, or a four-legged hiking buddy, an Australian Mountain Doodle might just be your perfect match!

Q. & A. with Emily

  • Why did you start breeding?

I (Emily) grew up with a mom who had an entrepreneur's mindset. She got into dog breeding during my growing up years, and I watched and learned from her! My husband and I decided to buy our first puppy when our son was just 4 months old, in hopes that we would one day get to breed her. We finally get to enjoy the results of our hard work and learning!
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in our home with loud noise exposure (hello, baby and toddler), socialization, sunshine, and cuddles. We live in a rural location where our puppies get plenty of exercise and opportunities to explore. We make sure that before leaving us they are vet-checked, microchipped, and up to date on shots. Both parents are genetically tested for underlying health conditions.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

It was a great experience working with Emily! She was easy to work with, very responsive, and answered all my questions! We absolutely LOVE our new Aussie Mountain Doodle who we named Tilly. We’ve had her for almost a week now and she is just the best girl. So happy I met Emily through this app—such an easy way to connect and find our sweet pup! We have four young kiddos and an older rescue dog and Tilly has done amazing with our active & loud crew! Highly recommend working with Emily and getting an Aussie Mountain Doodle!

Emily responded very quickly to my initial inquiry and throughout the whole process. She answered my questions thoroughly, was very flexible on pick up time and her family was so kind when we picked up our new puppy! And he couldn’t be more perfect!
