Meet the breeder

I'm Laura v., the breeder behind van Dalen Labradors located in Winder, GA. Van Dalen Labradors is a veterinarian-led breeding program focused on classic English type, health-tested lines, sound structure, and steady temperaments. Puppies are raised with daily care, early handling, and careful observation so families feel confident before and after their first vet visit.

Q. & A. with Laura

  • Why did you start breeding?

My love for animals began in childhood, long before I became a veterinarian. I have always been drawn to genetics, careful selection, and raising healthy, well-tempered dogs. Labradors became my heart breed in 1999, and breeding them allows me to combine my veterinary knowledge with my lifelong love of dogs and families.
  • What makes your program special?

As a veterinarian, I bring a trained eye to every puppy I raise. Each puppy is closely observed and checked before going home, with attention to health, structure, temperament, and early development. My goal is for families to feel confident, well-informed, and not surprised by preventable issues at their first vet visit.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
