I'm Victoria C., the breeder behind Vellavica Maltese located in Portland, OR. Vellavica Maltese is the home of many AKC Champions, Group Winners, Best in National Specialty Show 2018, Best of Winners and Opposite Sex 2016, Multiple Best in Specialty Shows, and Reserve Best In Show dogs. I am very passionate about the Maltese breed and dedicated to the Maltese Breed Preservation. All of my dogs live with me, in my home, as a part of my family. My main goal is to produce healthy, beautiful, well-socialized Maltese within the AKC breeding standard.

    I am an experienced breeder, and I take my role seriously. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed, including health, temperament, pedigree, and complementary traits, so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.

Getting a puppy from Victoria

Victoria has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $900 non-refundable deposit and between $2,100 - $4,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“I breed on a very small scale to produce the next show puppy for myself, so every breeding is planned ahead very carefully. Sometimes, I have puppies suitable for loving pet homes. All pet puppies will be sold with limited AKC registration and a spay/neuter agreement. Our puppies are raised in our home and will not be placed before they are at least 12 weeks old. NOTE: If you’re looking for a cheap or budget puppy, sorry to say, but my puppies are not for you. Occasionally, I have older puppies (8-18 months old) available for a pet home. Usually, they are puppies that I kept for shows but then decided to place in a pet home, or young AKC Champions that are being retired from the show ring but will not be suitable for breeding. These puppies are well socialized and potty trained. They will be spayed/neutered before leaving my home. Occasionally, I have adult AKC Champions retired from breeding. These dogs are potty trained and will be spayed/neutered before leaving my home. I will not ship my pet puppies/dogs before buyers meet them in person. If you decide you wish to reserve the puppy/dog I require a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit. This will hold the puppy/dog for you and will not be offered to anyone else.”

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
