I'm Prairie C., the breeder behind Vibrent Vortex located in Kansas. Our dogs are family first sport dogs second we are always working to maintain the working ability versatility, and structure of the border collie. We always strive for adaptable dogs that can spend the day sleeping or working all day. We are passionate about the health and well-being of this breed, and it is our goal to provide each dog that comes from our program with a solid foundation of good health, neurological development, and loving care.

Shock is a male Border Collie. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Prairie decided to make him part of their program. Prairie has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Solo is a sweet lovable girl with lots of natal talents.
She’s been on espn so I wouldn’t be surprised if you’d heard her name around.
We’ve do flyball, disc, agility, fastcat, lure coursing, dock, scent work, barn hunt and herding.
Solo is just under 21”and 40 lbs. Solo tall,thin and slender and 100% muscle. Solos pedigree is a mix of working and sport mostly working. Solo has siblings and half siblings in sports as well! She loves all people and kids. Always trying to get on the good side of dogs and loves cats!

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Shoulder Osteochondrosis, Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
