I'm Rebecca L., the breeder behind Vom Haus Bella GSD’s located in Marengo, OH. Vom Haus Bella is named after my foundation female, Isabel de Locherie. At Vom Haus Bella, we produce working German Shepherds and excellent family companions that have proper structure, trainability, and temperament. We have pride in our program and in the dogs we produce. Our puppies are very versatile and are suitable for many avenues.
Q. & A. with Rebecca
Why did you start breeding?
I was brought up and raised around German Shepherds my whole life. Breeding is a way to continue and ensure future dogs will posses the drive and workability that makes our breed so great! I breed to continue and grow my lines.
What makes your program special?
I have trained and breed GSDs for over 20 years. I have shown in IGP and dabbled in different AKC venues. I also compete in conformation giving me knowledge of the whole breed! I look at temperament, confirmation, health stats, as well as working titles of both the male and female when I’m pairing dogs for breeding. Striving to produce I would want to own. My pups are raised indoor around kids.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
