I'm Laura S., the breeder behind Von Stutts Tracking Teckels located in Southwest, WA. We offer European standard smooth Dachshunds with a focus on tracking and hunting and excellent temperament. Our dam is imported from Germany. We strive to place puppies with families who appreciate the traits that we strive to produce and are looking for both in work and companion dogs.
Q. & A. with Laura
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to do my part to preserve traditional hunting dachshunds. My breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the Dachshund while placing an emphasis on producing puppies of superior genetics, blood-tracking for wounded deer recovery, mantrailing, AKC Tracking, AKC Dachshund field trials, hunting ability and other sports.
What makes your program special?
My Dachshunds have been carefully selected, with my dam imported from Germany, to guarantee my puppies' exceptional pedigrees. All of my breeding dogs are fully healthy and genetically tested. I strive for quality over quantity and put my time and care into each litter I produce. My dogs are accomplished in the field and have even performed in Germany!
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are standard size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
