Gina W.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Gina W., the breeder behind Wages Labs located in Murrysville, PA. I love being a breeder. It's so fulfilling to see the positive effect that a beloved, furry companion can have on his or her family. I strive to produce quality puppies for families that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. I love matching healthy, happy puppies with loving families.

Q. & A. with Gina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I had always wanted a Labrador. I never planned on breeding, but we were given a Labrador and decided to try it once and see how things went. 10 years and a lot of things I learned later, I am still at it. It has been an absolute joy of a journey, and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.
  • What makes your program special?

I spend a lot of time with the puppies. I usually sleep in the whelping box with mom and the puppies for the first few days. Then I sleep in a bed beside the whelping box for the first 2-3 weeks. Once the puppies are old enough, I take them to the living quarters of the house or outside every day. I work to get them used to different surfaces and noises, as well as being handled and around people.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
