I'm Tori P., the breeder behind Walnut Creek English Labs located in Des Moines, IA. We breed quality family pets while holding ourselves to high ethical breeding standards. We take every precaution to ensure the next addition to your family will lead a healthy well adjusted life. Our pups go through ENS (early neurological stimulation) starting at three days. This has made an incredible impact for all our families!
Q. & A. with Tori
Why did you start breeding?
We knew we wanted to breed dogs 10+ years ago. We knew what successful breeding programs operated like from having both grown up with parents competing in that space. Breeding is a 24/7 job twice a year. We reached a point in life we were ready to make the time commitment and took the plunge. It started with a lot of research looking for the right mama and it has transformed into some great relationships with our puppy families!
What makes your program special?
Our level of preparedness sets us apart. We use the top team of reproductive vets at ISU vet college. This means in an emergency, we have a room full of hands to protect each life involved. We have an active partnership with our local vet, sanitize with Kennelsol daily, screen our buyers, pellet train, mentor buyers seeking guidance, and communicate clearly and often.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Tori and Walnut Creek English Labs were absolutely wonderful! I received specific information that allowed me to pick the perfect puppy for my family. She sent pictures and video updates almost daily. Tori is extremely knowledgeable about the breed and goes above and beyond with how she raises her puppies until they are able to go home. She is very organized with their records and even sent home plenty of food to get us through a couple of weeks, fresh made treats, and a puppy toy. I would highly recommend one of her puppies!

Tori was great!
She was so communicative throughout the process. She sent almost daily updates and videos, answered all questions promptly and was extremely knowledgeable about puppy development.
When we picked her up, she provided plenty of food, puppy paperwork and a large toy with her litter mates scent.
Tori and her family provided a great, loving start for the puppies. Mabel is such an affectionate, loving pup around everyone.
I couldn’t be happier with or recommend Tori more as a quality breeder for any future litters she may have available.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
