I'm Ciara E., the breeder behind Wandering Meadows Farm located in Jber, AK. We’re devoted to ensuring there are healthy puppies for others to enjoy and we do so by responsibly growing this incredible breed. The foundation of our breeding program starts with raising healthy and well-loved dogs. We aim to pass the same happiness of owning a quality-bred dog to our buyers.

Why did you start breeding?
As a dedicated hobby breeder, my focus is on breeding for the betterment of the Border Collie breed and to continue my carefully developed lines. My goal is to produce healthy, versatile dogs that excel in various environments, ensuring each generation upholds the breed’s exceptional qualities.What makes your program special?
I breed my Border Collies with versatility in mind, ensuring they are well-suited for a variety of roles, whether as active pets, sport competitors, or working K9. My dogs are bred with medium / high drive, making them highly adaptable and eager to work, while maintaining strong biddability. Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

"The price includes a health guarantee, AKC and ABCA registration, the first round of vaccinations, deworming, Volhard temperament testing, puppy socialization, and a comprehensive puppy pack. The price of our puppies is based solely on breeding rights, not on color, sex, or size. We require a deposit to secure a spot on our waiting list, which is fully refundable if you change your mind."

Sumac is AVAILABLE AT STUD! As a working service dog, Sumac demonstrates remarkable versatility and focus in his public duties. Outside of work, he excels in a variety of dog sports, including dock diving, FastCAT, Barn Hunt, agility, and herding. Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
