I'm Shannon S., the breeder behind Water Wheel Farm located in Sidney Center, NY. We responsibly breed, raise, & socialize healthy pups so others can enjoy the gift of living life with French Bulldogs & Aussies! We started breeding with the simple mission to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to find them the perfect future homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I wanted to help make the breeds better. I choose animals for my family and breeding program that are the highest quality dog and I want to share my love for the breed with other families!
  • What makes your program special?

    We raise our puppies in a farming family atmosphere! The puppies are well socialized from as little as day two bc I simply cannot keep my kiddos away from them!! We just love all things animal!!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Miniature Australian Shepherd puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Toy Australian Shepherd puppies include black, red, blue merle, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Getting a puppy from Shannon

Shannon has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $300 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes paperwork, first round of puppy vaccinations and deworming, one weeks of starter food for your puppy as well as a toy from home for ease of transition from my home to yours…. Puppy price varies depending on color and size. Deposits range based on breed as well.”

Contract & health guarantee

Shannon may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
