I'm Mindy N., the breeder behind Weenie Haven located in Wytheville, VA. We are dedicated to providing others with life long companions who are not only pets but family. Happy, healthy, great temperament dogs, are our number one goal. We want you to love the breed and our babies as much as we do. We strive for bonding and a companion ship that is life long.
Q. & A. with Mindy
Why did you start breeding?
I got my first dachshund and fell in love with him. I wanted to share the breed with others and know everything I could about them. There’s just something about the love of a dachshund and I want everyone to have that experience. I had a hard time finding one so I wanted to provide a safe place for others and to make them feel like family rather than just another customer.
What makes your program special?
I believe that my program is special because the puppies are raised in our home with our children. Raising young puppies around children makes for a more calm, relaxed, playful personality. I feel like our puppies are very outgoing and friendly just because they constantly are getting attention, being held, and spoiled. Our puppies are just so full of personality, I think it has a positive impact.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
