Welswood Cardigans

Michele W.

Breeder of Cardigan Welsh Corgis

Meet the breeder

I'm Michele W., the breeder behind Welswood Cardigans located in Oviedo, FL. I do not consider myself a normal breeder as I do not breed often, only when I want another show dog. My puppies are born and raised in my home. The goal I set and which I believe is still the most important, is to produce healthy puppies that make a well-rounded character in an adult dog.

Q. & A. with Michele

  • Why did you start breeding?

Breeding was not even on the radar when I got my first Corgi. When I got my second one and became interested in showing, raised champions and met my very dear friend and mentor is when I started researching and learning what breeding was all about.
  • What makes your program special?

Just the fact that all my dogs are raised in my home and the same with any litters that I plan. My litters are planned out very carefully and with much guidance from my mentor and friend. I sleep with the litter until they are able to get around on their own. I am extremely selective on when and to whom I am breeding. When you purchase one of my puppies you become part of my extended family!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
