I'm Laynie C., the breeder behind Western Slope Weenies located in Fruita, CO. Each puppy goes home with a health guarantee, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a vet check, and a starter kit to ease the transition into their new home! We are proud to stand behind our puppies for life and are always here as a resource for our puppy families.
Q. & A. with Laynie
Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding because I completely fell in love with Dachshunds—their big personalities, loyalty, and sweet, silly nature just stole my heart. I wanted to raise happy, healthy pups and help other families experience the same joy these little dogs have brought into my life.
What makes your program special?
I’m not a large-scale breeder—I raise my dogs right here in my home, where they’re part of the family from day one. Each puppy is handled daily, socialized with people and other pets, and raised in a clean, loving environment that sets them up for a smooth transition into their new homes.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
