I'm Troy and Denise C., the breeder behind Whippets of Astora located in Lutz, FL. Our puppies have excellent confirmation lines and are bred with a focus on health and temperament. Our goal is two-fold: For your puppy to come to you with a solid start in life focused on health, neurological development, and loving care. For our puppies to find loving forever families.

Why did you start breeding?
We started with our first whippet, Solaire, and later got another whippet, Echo. Usually, we kept them separate during season; however, the pups had other ideas - Echo went into season, Denise was out-of-town and Troy took a 5-minute bathroom break. Eight puppies later, we are enjoying raising them and have committed to breeding. We already have plans and a vision for the future.
What makes your program special?
While we follow breed standards, we also focus on the puppy's personalities. Solaire is not only a gorgeous whippet, he is also exceptionally sweet and gentle. Echo is beautiful, smart and a snuggler. We feel blessed with these two lovely whippet examples and their first litter inspired our goal to continue to breed outstandingly kind and beautiful puppies who will bond with their owners for life.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and fawn brindle, white and red brindle, white and black, black brindle, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,173.80 - $2,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
