Why did you start breeding?
I have always loved dogs and was excited to establish my breeding program. I am enjoying the journey, and I am a proud breeder with a focus on temperament and the overall mental and physical health of my puppies. I am passionate about placing happy, healthy puppies with loving families.
What makes your program special?
At White Rabbit Border Collies, I produce excellent companions. I understand the importance of dog health, temperament, and structure, and every breeding decision is made accordingly. I am also constantly improving my breeding program and work closely with other Border Collie breeders to do so. I want dogs that can excel in the show ring and on the field with stock.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and white and white and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $2,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“I do not ask for a deposit until I've picked my keeper pup(s) at 7-8 weeks and have paired puppies with their homes. Only then do I ask for a deposit of half the purchase price of the puppy.”

Hip Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
