Meet the breeder

I'm Christina T., the breeder behind White River Labradors located in Mossyrock, WA. We strive for conformationally correct, athletic, and intelligent dogs - the truly versatile Labrador Retriever. We breed each litter of puppies with the goal of superior temperament, health, conformation, movement, and the natural ability and drive to hunt. We take great pride in our dogs.

Q. & A. with Christina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I first got into breeding when my very first Labrador became very ill from a young age. As time passed I learned she had many many health issues, most of these health issues could have prevented with proper breeding. It was very heartbreaking to watch a young happy dog suffer most of her life, no family should ever have to go through that. I strongly believe in breeding to improve.
  • What makes your program special?

I have a very special eye for the look that I want in my Labrador lines, I do hours upon hours of research when shopping for a new member of the crew. I have very specific things that I look for including extremely temperament stable companions. They must be well rounded, genetically sound, fully health tested, and most of all capture my heart.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Christina is the absolute best breeder I’ve ever seen in my whole life. I’m 66 years old. I’ve seen a lot of breeders in my lifetime but none of them were as awesome as Christina. If you get a puppy from Christina then you are getting the best puppy you can get. I was so lucky I found her. Let me tell you about my wonderful experience!!! Most of my life I’ve had the Old English Sheep dogs. 9 and a half years ago I got the most beautiful soul of a puppy I’ve ever seen in my life. My yellow Lab Barney. He was my soul puppy. He passed away Feb 21st, 2023, from a Mass cell tumor. That was the most devastating loss I’ve ever had. It was traumatizing. Very painful to lose my very best friend in my life. Barny could read me. So, I thought I was done since I could never replace him. I still can’t. There will never ever be another Barney, but I felt so empty. I felt lost without my little pal Barney, which was not so little. He was a big boy. So, I thought I must get myself another yellow Lab. I started researching Breeders. I wanted to find a breeder that cared about genetics. I wanted a breeder that tested their Labs for the health issues that could come up later. Of all the breeders I found there was one in California that cared about that. I was willing to go all the way to California until I found GoodDog.com. There is where I found Christina. She is like an Angel from heaven to me. I read her profile and sent her a message and that was the beginning of an awesome relationship. Once I put a deposit on a puppy, I was lucky to get the first pick of the Males. I didn’t want to pick out my puppy until I saw him in person. This was going to be the last puppy in my life, and I wanted him to pick me. Christina sent me Maggy and Luke’s DNA testing information which made me just love her for that. She told me she would be sending me pictures, but I never expected that I would be able to see videos and actually watch them grow. Christina sent me awesome pictures every week and told me all about the puppies personalities She showed me how I could watch the videos. She opened me up to the most beautiful experience that I’ve ever had with any puppy I’ve ever received in my entire life. I was hurting from the loss of my Barney, but Christina made me feel so much better. She gave me hope. I watch how she took such good care of those puppies and all the love that she gave them. I’ll be honest Christina is one of a kind. I honestly don’t think there is another breeder out there that puts so much into the future homes of her puppies as Christina. I just love Christina for the experience that she gave my husband and I with her videos of all the love she has for those puppies. I never ever want to lose contact with Christina for what she did for me and my family.
