I'm Rae Ann A., the breeder behind Wiggle Bottom Shih Tzu/Maltese located in Benton Harbor Mi, MI. We offer happy, playful pups cared for as part of our family. We adore each and every one of our dogs and give them the best! Our green-eyed/brown-nose Maltese/Shihtzu are all adored as individuals and given lots of attention and care. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We struggled to find local puppies. It took months to weed through the Facebook scams. We wanted to create loving, happy puppies to share the joy we have found in having dogs in your life.

  • What makes your program special?

    We are small and that means each puppy is monitored and cared for individually, We love our babies and want them to grow to be happy and healthy members of new families.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Shih Tzu puppies include black and liver and white. Mal-Shi puppies are white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

    Everything went great!!! Was on vacation in MI and was able to arrange pick up on the drive home. Rae Ann and her husband were so nice and knowledgeable and had great communication. They gave us some tips that made for a pretty smooth transition. I also loved meeting my puppy’s parents Mario and Ruby! Even took some pictures! I think they are very attentive to the puppies. My little girl was already mostly house trained! Very minimal accidents which I attribute to getting to know her schedule (so my fault, not the puppy’s). I feel like that isn’t common for a 9 week old puppy! We’re talking 3 accidents in 2 weeks! The vet even called Yoko (what I named her - after my grandma) smart! Which I feel like is partly to do with her early learning with Rae Ann! Yoko is healthy and happy, so I couldn’t be happier!! ❤️ everyone thinks Yoko is the cutest thing ever too!!

    We had a wonderful experience with Wigglebottom and Rae Ann. We found out that a litter was expected right when the mother (Ginger) got pregnant. So there was a lot of waiting on our end. But Rae Ann mad that easier with updates and then with video and pictures after the pups were born. Picking up our Jeorge Michael was an easy experience and Rae Ann worked with us on scheduling and logistics. We couldn’t be happier with the new addition to our family. We would definitely use Wigglebottom again if/when we get another Malshi. Overall it was a very positive experience.

    Rae Ann and her husband was a pleasure to meet. It felt like I knew them for a very long time. They are a beautiful couple who loves what they do dearly because it written on their foreheads and served by their actions. First & foremost they were kind enough to drop off my furry two baby girls Luna & Leeya to me at home which I dearly appreciate from the bottom of my heart.     Rae Ann was responsive every step along the way, from my initial message about interest in a Malshi through the waiting for a litter to arrive and finally to the pickup of our puppy.     Rae Ann & her husband were an absolute joy to work with. We waited 10 weeks to get our new baby and she communicated with us every week helping to make the waiting easier.
