I'm Mario V., the breeder behind Wild Drake Retrievers located in Toms River, NJ. We breed and raise the great Labrador Retriever, train gun dog breeds to excel for hunting, and use all-breed obedience training. We are home-based breeders with a great amount of education and experience in producing and training happy and healthy puppies! We are dedicated to preparing our puppies to thrive as their best selves, and we strive for quality and excellence with everything that we do.

Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding through my love of duck hunting. I knew that every duck hunt would ultimately be better with a Retriever, not only to hunt with, but as a conservation tool. After many years of training these great animals, I grew a deeper love and wanted to better the breed and share these awesome dogs with others.What makes your program special?
We first aim for health, which is the first and most important aspect of our program. I then look at temperament and pedigree. I breed to better the breed of Labrador Retrievers and I look to have these retrievers in a family setting for 12 to 15 years.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
