Wild Feather Hunting Dogs

Kim F.

Breeder of Labrador Retrievers

Meet the breeder

I'm Kim F., the breeder behind Wild Feather Hunting Dogs located in Arlington, WA. We focus on breeding quality hunting dogs but know they are family dogs first. Kim has her Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science in Production Management. She uses this education and her experience working at a veterinary hospital in every aspect of breeding and raising our dogs.

Q. & A. with Kim

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always had a passion for animal husbandry. I enjoy the work it takes to improve qualities and traits in a breed. I started at a horse breeding farm and later transitioned to a small animal veterinary practice.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed hunting dogs that are also family house dogs. Our dogs are athletic and intelligent. They have a great drive in the field as well as an off switch in the house. We raise our puppies in the house. They are exposed to duck wings and hunting scents as well as started on some potty training and manners. We want to make the transition from our home to yours as smooth as possible.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
