Meet the breeder

I'm Rachel P., the breeder behind Wild West Corgis located in Graham, TX. I prioritize the health and overall wellbeing of all of our animals. Our puppies are raised in our home, as part of our family, where they receive daily attention, love, and care. We dedicate countless hours each day caring for them.

Q. & A. with Rachel

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always had a love for animals! I grew up raising and showing registered Brangus cattle. I first starting with a breeding heifer when I was 13 years old and continued to add to my herd all throughout high school and college. I purchased a Corgi puppy while I was in college and grew to love him so much, I wanted to breed him so I could have a puppy of his. So I decided to purchase a Pembroke Welsh Corgi female and that’s how it all started! It has been such a wonderful experience and my family and I have loved every moment of it!
  • What makes your program special?

We love our dogs dearly and consider them a part of our family. They are cared for daily by myself, my husband, and two little girls. We live on a cattle ranch and our Corgis are apart of our every day life. They love to tag along with us all over the ranch. They are socialized to a wide range of animals. Including, cows, horses, goats, chickens, and cats. Our Corgis have such wonderful dispositions and personalities!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our American Corgi puppies include black and tan and blue merle and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
